Agriculture is a fascinating industry and we are proud to have built long and rewarding relationships with our farming clients over the years, whilst sharing in their many trials, tribulations and triumphs!
We work closely with our clients and their other advisors, including land agents, bank managers and solicitors, to ensure they receive the best possible advice and service.
At Townends we have always had a strong rural client base and our experience has helped us build strong ties in the farming community throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and further afield, including Derbyshire, Cumbria and Scotland, making us ideally placed to provide help and advice across the entire agricultural sector.
Townends was established over 100 years ago as a small rural practice of Chartered Accountants. Since then the firm has grown to what it is today and is now one of the largest accountancy practices in the area with offices in Goole, Pontefract, York and Selby. Our core client base is owner-managed businesses and we act for clients throughout the UK and worldwide.
We appreciate that only in time can we gain your trust, so that you know when we say we can and will do something, we do it. We hope to get that opportunity.
Our Agriculture Team is headed up by Paul Sharpe (Partner) and David Raspin (Senior Manager) who work closely with the Partners in the
Tax & Strategic Planning Department – Fred Verney, Adam Cooper and Jayne Bryars.
