At Townends we have always had a strong rural client base and our experience has helped us build strong ties in the farming community throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and further afield, including Derbyshire, Cumbria and Scotland, making us ideally placed to provide help and advice across the entire agricultural sector.
Townends was established over 100 years ago as a small rural practice of Chartered Accountants. Since then the firm has grown to what it is today and is now one of the largest accountancy practices in the area with offices in Goole and York. Our core client base is owner-managed businesses and we act for clients throughout the UK and worldwide.

Our Agriculture Team is headed up by Jon Cooper (Partner) with support from the Managers and staff in his team. Jon also works closely with the Partners in the Tax & Strategic Planning Department – Adam Cooper and Jayne Bryars.
